Barcelona today, a great affection is held by the Butlers for this city. Making our 4th visit it was our turn to act as guides.
Once docked at the new cruise terminal - we took the shuttle bus to pick up the Barcelona tour bus - one of the best ways to see this enchanting city.
The tour bus allows jump on jump off access over 3 routes covering most of the city. We started with the red route with the intention to taking at least one other, however time ran away.
The red route gave an insight into the history of the city and at region and gave some fantastic views of the city.
Once complete we walked the Ramblas taking in a pavement cafe for 3 coffees and a beer - served in what looked like a goldfish bowl.
One highlight was a visit to the Market - part way up the Ramblas with fresh meat, fish, fruit, veg and sweets.
We returned to the port via the Gothic part of the city.

We are looking forward to viewing an annual meteor shower as we travel to Monte Carlo - however we fear the weather may have other ideas.
